Back with two fresh, new tunes is Mission Control with a bright lights, big city seducer...
“Where Does It Hurt?†on the (A)-side has a “seedy 1950’s club†feel in its trumpet licks contrasting with a set of meaty stabs and a rolling bass line. The hard-hitting breakbeats journey through a dimly lit tunnel, before travelling down stream to an eerie, magical attention string holding a peaceful breakdown. Being handled by the Randall on dub-plate for the last few weeks, this tune is set to boost Mission Control’s position in the world of Drum ‘n’ Bass.
Featuring a rolling, two stepping break with heavy on the effects style samples, “Tripli cut†is a cross-section of mysterious Drum ‘n’ Bass and Jazz. After a deep and hard set of string chords, underpinning a padded out breakdown, a different style of beats kick in, going in a freestyling, 3/3 jazzy direction, containing really funky, swinging beats and a bubbly bassline, before fading out with some beautiful vocals pads.
